Spirituality: The Fifth Recovery Commitment

As we reach the Fifth Level of recovery, it is apparent that much has changed. There is more peace in our personal world, less conflict and chaos. We find that we are grateful. Faith abounds. We can trust our intuition and instincts. Life seems to work on our behalf. Our relationships have a quality and depth like never before. So, we go on practicing Spirituality with prayer, meditation, reading the inspiring writings available, and breathing deeply as we appreciate the here and now. We fully accept all, respect all, and give back. The Spirit is alive in us and we are walking in Its brilliant Light. Thanks!

Love: The Second Recovery Commitment

Love: The Second Recovery Commitment

Once Sober, Safe, and/or Stable, it is time to commit to Love in order to move the recovery process forward. This means that we first open ourselves to the caring, support, encouragement, and positive regard coming from professional caregivers, family, and friends. These are the people who really care about our well-being and recovery. Then we start with a program of self-care. Then we reach out to help others. This Love thing is huge. You don’t want to miss out.
